Joanne’s career representing Canada on the World Swimming Stage extended for 13 years including 3 Olympic Games. Her extensive accomplishments recognize her as one of Canada’s All-Time best swimmers in its history.

- Every February, hundreds of young swimmers across Ontario compete in the ‘Joanne Malar Invitational’ swim meet at McMaster University in Hamilton.
- Joanne is a sought-after motivational speaker and emcee. She inspires her audiences from corporate speeches to community events, charity functions to athletic banquets.
- As a Holistic Nutritionist, Joanne appears on television shows sharing her nutrition expertise on hot health & wellness topics. She is also a published writer on health topics.
Joanne was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario.
She graduated from McMaster University, Hamilton.
She enjoyed 5 years living and training at the Canadian Sports Centre Calgary.
Joanne has returned to live in Calgary as of August 2008. |
